BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE
FLY OFF THE HANDLE
HIS BARK IS WORSE THAN HIS BITE
A: What’s wrong Mike?
B: George the office manager, just came into my office and was complaining about our decline in sales.
A: George? Really? What did he say?
B: He said, that I’m the one that needs to explain this months slowing sales numbers.
A What did you say to him?
B: I told him that I’m in charge of Accounting and not the sales team. He needs to talk with Lucy, the manager of the sales team, about why sales are declining.
A: He was really barking up the wrong tree.
B. Yes, he was and he needs to think next time before flying off the handle at someone.
A: I couldn’t agree more.
B: His bark is worse than his bite. I’m sure he will apologize later on.
A: I’m sure. See you later on, bye.
B: Bye, it was nice talking to you.
